The twenty-second track of the 'Black Lives Matter' collaboration between Norwich-based artist Laure Van Minden and trumpeter Chris Dowding.

Pianos hocket and bells toll around our sadness at what was declared suicide. Effected piano and keyboards move around the collective name. When will these cases end?

We play a live drawing session from the project on 7th August upstairs at Aroma cafe in Norwich.

Laure:

"I could see her hanging in her prison cell in my mind... I therefore chose to attach this red thick and rich pen onto a cord and balance it onto the sheet guided by the rhythm of the music. The paper was on the floor, I was sitting on a chair with my forehead on the table, eyes closed, all the while. Quite moving..."

Sandra Bland:

“I’m not on the phone. I have a right to record. This is my property.”
