The fourth track of the 'Black Lives Matter' project - a collaboration between Norwich-based trumpeter Chris Dowding and artist Laure Van Minden.

I notice patterns in the name melodies - syllables are traceable through the contours of the melody. 'Ahmaud Arbery' is the first track where the name melody is played throughout the track, on keyboard, ghosted by the trumpet and piano.

A black man innocently jogs through his neighbourhood in Georgia...

Chris:

" I think [posting alternate versions of artwork as messages for subscribers] is nice, as hopefully it then might create a shared space where people can exchange views etc... it might also create a bit of a community around them..."

Laure:

"I knew Ahmaud Arbery was jogging before he died... so I felt I needed to let my fingers run onto the two pieces of paper too while listening to the music..."
